Awarded the 2026 Sir Jeffrey Tate Prize by the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra, Szymon Nehring is considered to be the most gifted and promising pianist of his generation in Poland. He is the only Polish pianist to have won first prize at the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Competition in Tel Aviv (2017). He was also a finalist at the Chopin Competition in Warsaw with only 19 years of age.

Szymon performs with orchestras such as the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice, Polish Baltic Frederic Chopin in Gdansk and Poznan Philharmonic in Poland as well as the Hamburger Symphoniker and the Rheinische Philharmonie in Germany, Tonkünstler Orchester in Austria, Orchestre Pasdeloup in France, Biel Philharmonic in Switzerland and Yomiuri Philharmonic in Japan, collaborating with conductors such as Lukas Borowicz, Marzena Diakun, Lawrence Foster, Pawel Przytocki, George Tchitchinadze and Marin Alsop. He also performed and recorded with the late Krzysztof Penderecki, among other works Mr. Penderecki´s piano concerto.

Szymon Nehring has performed in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Tonhalle Zürich, Elbphilharmonie and Laeizshalle in Hamburg, Konzerthaus Berlin, Herkulessaal and Prinzregententheater in Munich, Palau de la Música in Barcelona, Auditorio Nacional in Madrid, Pierre Boulez Grande Salle at the Philharmonie and Seine Musicale in Paris, DR Koncerthuset in Copenhagen, Konzerthaus and Musikverein in Vienna.

Numerous recordings have already been released, both in recital and with orchestra, including Chopin’s two Piano Concertos conducted by Krzysztof Penderecki. His recording ‘Minimalist’ and the first two volumes of a complete cycle of Chopin’s works on disc have been released. The latest disc dedicated to Szymanowski, in collaboration with the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice and Marin Alsop, includes Szymanowsk’s 4th Symphonie Concertante and a selection of Mazurkas.
