Award-winning conductor Marzena Diakun came to international acclaim in Paris in the 2015/16 season after several concerts with Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France.
Recent engagements include Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Orchestre National de Belgique, Liverpool Philharmonic, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice, National Warsaw Philharmonic, Sinfonia Varsovia, Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias, Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla, Orchestre National de Lyon, Orquestra Sinfónica do Estado de São Paulo, Jaener Philharmoniker, Deutsche-Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz, Staatsorchester Rheinische Philharmonie and Göteborg Opera.
Diakun is a dedicated supporter of contemporary music and has premiered numerous works with different ensembles. In 2016, she gave the Polish premiere of Olga Neuwirth’s opera Lost Highway, as a part of the New Horizons Festival in Wrocław.
In 2015, she was a recipient of the Boston Symphony Orchestra Conducting Fellowship at Tanglewood Music Festival, and won the Marin Alsop’s Taki Concordia Fellowship.
