Award-winning conductor Marzena Diakun came to international acclaim in Paris in the 2015/16 season after several concerts with Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France.
Future engagements include the Orchester der Komische Oper in Berlin, the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie, Antalya State Symphony Orchestra in Türkiye, Sinfonieorchester Münster, Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla, Orquesta Sinfonica del Principado de Asturias, the Ensemble Intercontemporain, Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de México and l’Orchestre National de France.
Diakun is a dedicated supporter of contemporary music and has premiered numerous works with different ensembles. In 2016, she gave the Polish premiere of Olga Neuwirth’s opera Lost Highway, as a part of the New Horizons Festival in Wrocław.
In 2015, she was a recipient of the Boston Symphony Orchestra Conducting Fellowship at Tanglewood Music Festival, and won the Marin Alsop’s Taki Concordia Fellowship.
