Created in 2012 by Graham Bickley and Richard Balcombe, GRB Concerts devise, programme, orchestrate and cast projects for orchestras in the UK and abroad. With over 30 years in the industry, a broad depth of expertise allows Richard and Graham to deliver concerts which entertain, stimulate, and complement any seasonal programming.
Performing regularly with the main UK orchestras, including the Hallé, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Northern Sinfonia, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic and Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestras, the BBC Concert Orchestra, Ulster Orchestra, and Orchestra of Opera North, their programmes are also frequently broadcast for BBC Radio 2’s ‘Friday Night is Music Night’ specials. Two projects: “What the World Needs Now…The Music Of Burt Bacharach”, and “Songs From The Sixties” have been recorded and released by The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Recent seasons also include appearances at several international festivals including the Rheingau and Graffeneg in Germany.
The 19/20 season saw GRB Concerts launch a highly anticipated programme honouring Elton John, marking 50 years since the release of “Your Song”. Following an acclaimed debut with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, the project continues to extensively tour the UK orchestra circuit. 2022 included an 80th birthday celebration of Barbra Streisand, which alongside various concert performances was also broadcast by BBC Radio 2. Of the programme, Streisand declared «I am honored that BBC Radio 2 has recorded a special programme for my (80th) birthday”
The next addition to their vibrant catalogue will be a showcase of the Bee Gees – in line with the group’s 65th anniversary in 2023.
